#16 What is a wiki?
Well, I think I have found my calling. This is the easliest site for me so far. You can ask any questions. I guess because its a dictonary/encyclopedia combine and it makes looking for answers alot easlier. I hope to contiune to use it and I wish I had known about it while my kids were in school. But, I guess I can look at the bright side my grandchildren can use it for school work!
#15 On Library 2.0 & Web 2.0
I like the statement when reading :To a temporary place in time. What are libraries? Libraries are not just collections of documents and books, they are conversations, they are convocations of people, ideas, and artifacts in dynamic exchange. Libraries are not merely in communities, they are communities: they preserve and promote community memories; they provide mentors not only for the exploration of stored memory, but also for the creation of new artifacts of memory. What was the library of the past? A symbol of a society that cared about its attainments, that treasured ideas, that looked ahead multiple generations. I think there is alot of true.
