#23 IS THIS REALLY THE END? OR JUST THE BEGINNING!

At the beginning I really didn't know if I would finish. I just kept reading and doing and with some help from Jo Brown I finished. I don't think there is any site that I didn't like. Just some more than others. I really liked Wiki just because you can type in a question and get an answer. This program and has taught me to use different web sites and how to search better. There were a few that were boring I really didn't like listening to the talk videos I like more action. I think it depends on the person how they put their information on the sites whether its harmful or not. I really think a person could get hooked on using it this and having fun with it.

Thanks to everybody that has helped me. And as for the saying goes "OLD DOGS CAN LEARN NEW TRICKS!"

#22 Face to Face Social Networking

Well, I have completed #22 and I really like my space.com just because I have watched my daughter and knew more about it. I can get into it and check on different people. I have viewed my daughters web-site. I have a niece on there and several of my daughters friends are on there also. Facebook is hard to get on and I get inpatient when it won't let the password you use go through. So for right now I'll stick to a site that I understand.

#21 Podcasts, Shmodcasts

I went to two of these sites. Yahoo.Podcast and Podcast.net. I really didn't like Yahoo.Podcast talk programs because it seem boring. The podcast.net is okay some of it wouldn't let me on some of the programs that I would like to hear and see but I really finally got on some of them and listen but they really didn't interest me that much. Maybe if I understood it better I would like it more. But I don't see myself using it.

#19 Web 2.0

Ok, I have checked this out the only thing I found interesting to me is the Mapping. I think its faster than Rand McNally. Sometimes I find it not acturate. I did go into different sites and I am not saying they are not good. I really don't know if I would use them in my job. Maybe some of the games I would play if I was at home and had time to play. But I did like the web 2.0 and probably will go back and visit.

#18 Web-Based Apps.

OKAY, I finally, got in I thought this was going to be easy. Guess the saying "trying to teach old dogs new tricks" I think they are so wrong.
I think this might be the way to go instead of Microsoft. It has more features. You can do so much more with Zoho writer than with Microsoft. I have learned something here today thats for sure.

#17 Playing with Wikis

Ok, I am done with this step! I really don't think this system likes me. Doesn't except my password half the time. But, Jo Brown came to my aid. She helped me and I finally got it.
So now I am moving on.

#16 What is a wiki?

Well, I think I have found my calling. This is the easliest site for me so far. You can ask any questions. I guess because its a dictonary/encyclopedia combine and it makes looking for answers alot easlier. I hope to contiune to use it and I wish I had known about it while my kids were in school. But, I guess I can look at the bright side my grandchildren can use it for school work!

#15 On Library 2.0 & Web 2.0

I like the statement when reading :To a temporary place in time. What are libraries? Libraries are not just collections of documents and books, they are conversations, they are convocations of people, ideas, and artifacts in dynamic exchange. Libraries are not merely in communities, they are communities: they preserve and promote community memories; they provide mentors not only for the exploration of stored memory, but also for the creation of new artifacts of memory. What was the library of the past? A symbol of a society that cared about its attainments, that treasured ideas, that looked ahead multiple generations. I think there is alot of true.

Discovery #9 Finding Feeds

I checked out Blogline's Search, Feedster, Topix-net, Syndic8.com I really got confused in the Feedster, and Syndic8-com. But I liked Blogline's Search and really like Topix-net. Topix-net is the website that I would use.

Discovery #8

Learning RSS after going thru it and actually doing hands on it will be a better way of tracking the news and weather and if there is anything else that I would like at my finger tips it will come in very handy. I was very impressed with it.

Discovery #7

Working with Blogger seems challenging but fun and it just takes patiences and time to figure out but its really not hard once you sent your mind to it.

#6 Flickr toy trading card

Learned how to make Flickr toy trading card on my own. It seems easier than working with Flickr images. Had trouble sizing Pals picture.

Week 3 Discovery #5

Taking on the Flickr. Well I finally was able to get this done. The problem was it wouldn't take my password and I had trouble with the pictures but finally I did it. Guess I made it harder than what it was.

Gypsy and Katie

We bought Gypsy when she was four weeks old. Our daughter decided that she would like to show in the 4-H dog show at the Athens Co. Fair. She worked all Spring with Gypsy and won Grand Champion within her division. Gypsy actually belongs to my son David. She is a very spoiled dog. Her favorite thing is to take our grandson down take his shoe and run with it. She likes to be chased. Loves playing basketball.

LEARNING 2.0

I think the easiest habit 71/2 is having a good attitude and accepting responsiblity for my own learning and knowing it never to late to learn and knowing you can work at your own pace. The hardest one for me is having confidence and not be afraid that I will make mistakes
